"I'm an athlete stuck in a lipedemic fat body."
Lesley Gilmer is graphic designer, mom, and one of Kim's closet friends. She joins Kim to discuss her history in the fitness industry and her own body image issues, as well as the eventual diagnosis of lipedema that helped her understand her body better.
Lesley also shares about her experience of losing her brother to suicide and how motherhood has colored her understanding of that experience. Finally, Lesley and Kim discuss raising teenage girls with positive physical and emotional health in a society that promotes an unrealistic idea of beauty.
